It is an honor to serve as the President of Zeta Delta chapter of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Incorporated for the 2020-2021 sororal year. We continue to provide programming under the National Theme: “Business and Professional Women Building the Foundation for Generational Financial Empowerment”.
Iota Phi Lambda is the first Greek-lettered business and professional sorority founded by African-American business and professional women in 1929. Our primary purpose is to “unite in sisterhood qualified business and professional women in order to enhance and improve the status of women in our highly complex, competitive business and professional world.”
We are proud of Iota’s rich history of service and sisterhood that was so nobly begun over 91 years ago by Lola Mercedes Parker and six of her closest friends. Iota women serve our communities with grace, class, and efficiency. Our national and local programs of service are meaningful and impactful and uplifting. Zeta Delta Chapter became the first chapter chartered in West Tennessee in 2018 joining our sister chapters of Alpha Xi in Knoxville, TN, and Epsilon Psi in Murfreesboro/Nashville, TN. Our sorors are hardworking women of substance who chose to unite in sisterhood to move the agenda of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Incorporated, upward and onward in efficient service.
